In Nancy's obit in the Middletown newspaper, it was reported that she died on the 26th, her maiden name was Riggs and that she had had 15 children.
Prior to the marriage to Jacob, Nancy had been married to a Mr. Shoemaker. I have made no effort to determine if she was a widow or if she was divorced.
Nancy's birthplace is listed as Ohio in the 1850 - 1870 Census.
